Obituary for Filippo Viola

Filippo Viola, 78 years of age, of Revere, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Sarina Viola. Loving father of Phyllis Tomassi and her husband Mario and Michael Viola and his wife Enza. Cherished grandfather of Maria and her husband Josh, Sarina, Johnny and his loving companion Heather, Dorion, Sarina, Olimpia, Filippo and great-grandfather of 7 and a late great-grandchild Matteo. Caring brother of Vincenza Salvaggio and her late husband Giuseppe, Giuseppa Cunsolo and her late husband Rocco, Salvatore Viola and his wife Lucy, Maria Viola, Sara Viola, Calogero “Lilo” Viola and the late Concetta Viola. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will honor Filippo’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St. REVERE on Sunday, January 10th from 3PM to 7PM and again at 9AM Monday morning before leaving in procession to St. Anthony’s Church in Revere for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden, MA.
