What is a Pre-Arrangement?

A Pre-Arrangement is planning the details of your own funeral, or that of a loved one, ahead of time.

What is the value of having a ceremony?

A ceremony provides an opportunity for family and friends to come together, and gives testimony to a life that was lived and the continuing impact they have on each of us.  It helps one face the reality of death, allowing expression of feelings, and is a befitting way of saying farewell.

What are the disposition alternatives?

Earth burial in a grave or family plot; entombment in a mausoleum or crypt; cremation with several alternative ways to deal with the ashes; or anatomical gifting.

What is funeral merchandise?

Caskets ranging from Hardwood such as mahogany, oak and cherry, and metal caskets such as bronze, copper and steel as well as alternative containers; Outer Burial Containers used for added protection for the casketed remains that range from reinforced concrete to precious metal lined burial vaults; Urns that are used as a permanent container for cremated remains; and a range of memorial products such as service folders, prayer cards and ceramic plaques.

What do funerals cost?

Costs vary according to the services and merchandise you select including such items as professional services, facilities, motor vehicles, cash advances (for cemetery/crematory fee, flowers, newspaper notices, etc.).  We can always provide a dignified funeral to suit any budget.

Do I have to pre-pay for a Pre-Arrangement?

Pre-payment is only required if you wish to guarantee the funeral costs at today's prices.

If I do pre-pay, where are the funds held?

Pre-paid funeral monies are held in funeral trust funds administered by Eastern Bank Trust, or in investment vehicles such as insurance policies.

What happens if the funeral home goes out of business?

Should the funeral home close, your funds which are held separately may be transferred to another funeral home of your choice.

Yes, updates and changes may be made to your arrangements at any time.
